Undercover detectives assigned to the police department’s eight precincts charged 117 persons this week with mostly drug and prostitution offenses as the result of investigations in various Nashville neighborhoods.
Marijuana, cocaine, heroin, methamphetamine and hydrocodone pills, along with four guns and more than $9,500 in cash were recovered during these investigations by Midtown Hills, South, Hermitage, West, North, Madison, East and Central precincts.
A breakdown of these investigations included detectives charging 20 persons at the Midtown Hills, which encompassed Sidco Drive, Thompson Lane, Nolensville Pike and Harding Place; 22 individuals living on Hamilton Church Road, Murfreesboro and Nolensville pikes, Glengarry Drive, Tanglewood Court and Shasta Drive, located in the South Precinct; Hermitage Precinct detectives charged 20 persons living on Stewarts Ferry and Donelson pikes, Old Hickory Boulevard, Bell Road, Shute Lane, Brandywine Drive, Lafayette Street and 1st Avenue North.
West Precinct detectives charged 13 persons as the result of investigations on County Hospital Road, Anderson Road, Erin Lane, and 40th Avenue North. North Precinct detectives charged 10 persons as the result of investigations on Clarksville Pike, Cliff Drive, Brick Church Pike, Dry Fork Road, West Hamilton Avenue, Dr. D. B.Todd Boulevard, and Buchanan Street.
Madison Precinct detectives charged 10 persons as the result of investigations on Old Hickory Boulevard, Dickerson and Gallatin pikes, and Rivergate Parkway. East Precinct detectives charged 10 persons as the result of investigations on Dickerson Pike, Trinity Lane, Gallatin Pike, and Grace Street. Central Precinct detectives charged 12 persons as the result of investigations on Middleton Street, Drexel Street, Ewing Avenue, and Interstate Drive.
Citizens suspecting drug activity in their neighborhoods are urged to call the police department’s 244-DOPE hotline. Callers to the hotline can remain anonymous.
