Family & Children’s Service 75th Birthday

Family & Children’s Service’s 75th birthday party was held in the 32,000 square foot warehouse which will eventually become the organization’s new home.

The event was staged as a fun child’s birthday party, with bold colors, jugglers and a magician, and pre-dinner music by Music City Dixie Land Band.

Appropriately served on cafeteria trays, dinner included chicken croquets, mixed vegetables, mac and cheese, apple salad, ham salad on rolls, and cupcakes.

The Erik Blue Band played for dancing after the meal and some of the braver attendees tried out the huge slide.
Event chairs are pictured below, except for Marlene Moses, who was unable to be on hand.

Committee members included: Victoria Ziegler, Battle Williford, Neely Williams, Joyce Vise, Barbara Turner, John Steele, Judy Simmons, Earle Simmons, Tracey Silverman, Meg Rush, Justin Roddick, Shawn Pelletier, Aylin Ozgener, Courtney Necessary, Cecily McSurdy, Vicki McCluggage, William Liles, Jim Kelley, Kelly Holmes, Herman Hicks, Matt Harris, Michael Gibson, and Laurie Eskind.
