Family & Children’s Service 75th Birthday
Family & Children’s Service’s 75th birthday party was held in the 32,000 square foot warehouse which will eventually become the organization’s new home.
The event was staged as a fun child’s birthday party, with bold colors, jugglers and a magician, and pre-dinner music by Music City Dixie Land Band.
Appropriately served on cafeteria trays, dinner included chicken croquets, mixed vegetables, mac and cheese, apple salad, ham salad on rolls, and cupcakes.
The Erik Blue Band played for dancing after the meal and some of the braver attendees tried out the huge slide.
Event chairs are pictured below, except for Marlene Moses, who was unable to be on hand.

DAR Washington Birthday Celebration
The Davidson County Regents Council of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) held its annual George Washington Birthday Luncheon at Hillwood Country Club.
Stephanie Sturdivant welcomed the guests to the event, and Barbara White gave the invocation. The Andrew Jackson Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution presented the colors. Virginia Bean led the Pledge of Allegiance and Jane Dugger led the American’s Creed and Salute to the Flag of Tennessee.
Singer/songwriter Becky Hobbs performed for everyone and Linda Moss Mines gave an entertaining and educational speech entitled “Everything you need to know about the American Revolution in 20 Minutes.”
After the speech, a delicious meal of chicken, mixed vegetables, and chocolate pie was served.
DAR chapters involved were: Campbell, Cumberland, Ft. Nashborough, French Lick, Gen. Daniel Smith’s Rock Castle, Gen. Francis Nash, Gen. James Robertson, Gen. William Lee Davidson, Rachel Stockley Donelson, and Robert Cooke.
Interfaith Dental Clinic Patron Party
The Interfaith Dental Clinic Gala Patron Party was held at the offices of Butler Snow at the Pinnacle at Symphony Place and hosted by Butler Snow and Volunteer State Bank.
The event celebrated the sponsors and patrons of Interfaith Dental Clinic’s fundraiser, Country Legends on the Cumberland, to be held March 11 at the George Jones Entertainment Complex.
The patron party menu, provided by Moonshine Gypsies, included: pimento cheese bruschetta, hot chicken mini sliders, southern meatloaf balls with Jack Daniel glaze, pork tenderloin biscuits with peach chutney, grilled cord salad, Southern caprese skewers, and deviled eggs with candied bacon. Dessert was banana pudding shots and baby Moon Pies among those on hand were: Tom and Vicki Underwood, George and Camille Crawford, Dennis Wells, Dan Clark, Sean Young, Kathy Hall, Trent Watrous, A.J. Johnson, Garland and Laurie Mahan, and Chip and Pam Clayton.
