The display of 1,000 American Flags can be viewed on the “Victory Field” facing Lebanon Road at Andrew Jackson’s Hermitage. Shakespeare: Shakespeare in the Park continues long weekends through August and September in the Centennial Park Bandshell, 2500 West End Ave. Performances are free but donations are welcomed. “Anthony and Cleopatra” will also be onstage this weekend, August 17-20. “Winter’s Tale” will be performed alternate weekends. Fall feature: Co-chairman Nancy Russell has sent Dru’s Vues a reminder of the Fall Harvest Dinner at Cheekwood coming up Sunday, October 1. The evening features “dining in plain air” in Cheekwood’s Bradford Robertson Color Garden. Middle Tennessee’s Horticultural Society is sponsoring both the dinner and the planting of 5,000 fall-hued chrysanthemums blooming this fall throughout Cheek-wood’s gardens.
