Early voting for Metro Council District 33 special election continues through September 14

Early voting in the special election for Metro Council District 33 continues through Thursday, September 14 with election set for Tuesday, September 19. Five candidates are vying for the seat vacated when Sam Coleman was elected to fill the General Sessions judge position previously held by Casey Moreland.

The five candidates include Jack Byrd III, Martez Coleman, Tim Herndon, Antoinette Lee and Michael E. Mayhew.

Approximately 400 registered voters have taken advantage of early voting. All voters must present a Federal or Tennessee State government-issued photo ID unless an exception applies. Student IDs are not accepted.
