Leigh Anne Strickland has joined Anderson Benson Insurance & Risk Management as a partner in business management and sales.
Strickland previously worked as a producer with Mountain State Insurance Agency in Charleston, W.V. She is a Certified Insurance Counselor by the National Alliance for Insurance Education & Research. Strickland is a former Outreach and Community Engagement Director of Nashville Ballet.
Strickland is a graduate of Brenau University in Gainesville, Ga and native of Whigham, GA.

Pittman joins BCI after spending more than 10 years with Unum US. While at Unum US, Pittman was an enrollment manager and client manager. Pittman brings experience in business to business sales and client management to BCI.

Martin joins BCI after spending more than 18 years in the group insurance business, working on both the carrier and brokerage industry arena.

Bradley Arant Boult Cummings LLP is pleased to announce that Trisha A. Culp has joined the firm’s Nashville office as a senior attorney on the Healthcare team.
Culp focuses her practice on assisting clients in the healthcare industry in a wide range of transactional, operational and regulatory matters. She has advised healthcare clients in a variety of transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, practice formation and joint venture arrangements. She has experience preparing and negotiating physician employment and hospital-based physician contracts as well as other professional service arrangements. Culp also counsels clients on state and federal regulatory matters unique to the healthcare industry, including anti-kickback and self-referral laws. In addition to healthcare work, her experience includes small business formation and counseling, as well as transactional work in corporate and securities matters.
Culp is an active member of the Nashville Health Care Council and Leadership Health Care. She earned her J.D. from the University of Cincinnati and her B.S. (summa cum laude) from Ohio University.
Cumulus Media-Nashville announced the veteran sports broadcaster Mickey Ryan has joined the Titans Radio Broadcast Team as a co-host for Titans Preand Post-Game coverage.
Ryan joins fellow broadcaster Mark Howard and former Titans players Blaine Bishop and Kevin Dyson on the show, providing two hours of pre-game and post-game coverage during the Tennessee Titans games. This season, Titans fans can catch the Lee Company Countdown to Kickoff pre-game show live from the new Titans Fan Zone, outside the south end zone of Nissan Stadium.
Nashville-based commercial real estate and design firm South- east Venture has announced that Kelly Sullivan has joined the firm as a broker.
Most recently, Sullivan worked as an office division broker at commercial real estate firm NAI Earle Furman in Greenville, SC, where she also was involved in site selection and investment sales transactions. In May 2015, she graduated with a B.B.A. in business from Furman University. While earning her degree, Sullivan also completed an internship at National Land Realty.
Vanderbilt University Medical Center
David Vago, Ph.D., will join the Osher Center for Integrative Medicine in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) as director of research.
He comes to VUMC from Boston, where he is an associate psychologist at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and an instructor at Harvard Medical School. Vago, whose research includes better defining brain activity related to mindfulness, is assembling a team to continue his work at Vanderbilt.
Vago and colleagues launched the “Mapping the Meditative Mind” research initiative, which he will be bringing to the Osher Center. Vago began at VUMC on September 1.
Pierre Massion, M.D., Cornelius Vanderbilt Professor of Medicine, has been named to direct the Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center (VICC) Cancer Early Detection and Prevention Initiative.
Massion is an Ingram Professor of Cancer Research and co-leader of the VICC Cancer Health Outcomes and Control Research Program with Debra Friedman, M.D., and David Penson, M.D., MPH.
Massion is internationally recognized for his research contributions in lung cancer, which is the Number 1 cancer killer. With an emphasis on early detection, Massion’s research focuses on the role of oncogenes in the development and progression of lung tumor cells and he is also a leader in the identification of molecular biomarkers for early detection of lung cancer and for use in assessing response to therapy.
C. Wright Pinson, MBA, M.D., Deputy CEO and Chief Health System Officer for Vanderbilt University Medical Center, will serve as chair of the Nashville Health Care Council board of directors for a two-year term.
The Nashville Health Care Council is a premier association of health care industry leaders working together to further establish Nashville’s position as the nation’s health care industry capital.
