Earl Swensson Associates (ESa)

screen-shot-2016-09-28-at-2-10-13-pmRyan Terrell has joined ESa’s architectural team. Previously with DFA in New York City, he has experience designing retail and dining spaces. Terrell graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Architecture from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 2012.

ESa is a 55-year-old, Nashville-based architectural firm that designs healthcare facilities, educational facilities, hospitality venues, corporate office buildings, senior living communities, and facilities for communities and the arts.

Edgenet

Edgenet, a Nashville-based Software as a Service (SaaS) company that was one of the first to embrace the cloud for hard line product data management, welcomes Lisa East as its Director of Customer Support.

Her role will have a tactical emphasis on customer care, quality management and workforce planning. East will be responsible for providing high-quality services while meeting service level agreements; developing service procedures, policies and standards; continuously improving call performance and department efficiency; and identifying trends and implementing any necessary or corrective actions.

East joins Edgenet with a  background in customer service and customer support team management after spending six-and-a-half years at Qualifacts, an SaaS and electronic health records (EHR) software company for the behavioral health and human services markets. Initially a client services support analyst, East moved her way through the Qualifacts client services department into a role as team lead and then as client services support manager – her last role with Qualifacts was as contracts manager.

East received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Appalachian State University and has more than 20 years of progressive experience in team and account management, strategic planning, customer support and sales. Before her time at Qualifacts, East worked in health-related sales and managed health services teams.

EXIT Realty

Laura McDonald has joined EXIT Realty Diversified and she will be assisting both buyers and sellers in residential real estate around the Nashville area.Her background consists of 4+ years as a licensed mortgage broker prior to becoming a licensed realtor in 2012. She holds an active real estate licenses in both Tennessee and Florida. She is passionate about helping people reach their goals of home ownership whether it be primary, vacation, or investment purchases.

Dr. Jocelyn Briddell recently joined FiftyForward as director of Active Aging where she will oversee the nonprofit’s seven lifelong learning centers and the agency’s volunteer programs that focus on engaging older adults.

Briddell was most recently the executive director at Scarritt Bennett Center where she was responsible for the vision, mission and overall administration of the center including its management, oversight of fundraising, and program development on a local, regional, national and international level.

As an administrator in higher education for thirty years, Briddell has extensive experience in facilities management, program planning and community collaboration. At Douglass College – Rutgers University and Connecticut College she developed initiatives that combined academic courses, community service work, and interactions with women who were grassroots/activist leaders to enable students to learn about social change and develop their leadership potential as women.

A graduate of Douglass College (1981) – Rutgers University, Briddell has served on several boards in New London, Connecticut, and New Brunswick, New Jersey. She was recently appointed to the Advisory Board for Horizon Summer Camp at University School of Nashville because of her interest in serving the Edgehill community. In addition, she serves as Vice President of ALIAS Chamber Ensemble Board of directors in Nashville, volunteers at Nashville Freedom Schools Partnership, and is an active member of the Associate Alumnae of Douglass College where she was honored by receiving the Douglass Medal, the highest honor granted, for her contributions to the Alumnae Association and Douglass College in 2007. She earned her master’s degree in student personnel services in 1983 from the College of New Jersey and her doctorate from Nova Southeastern University in 2006.

Finn Partners

Global public relations firm Finn Partners, has announced that award-winning communications professional and journalist, John Seigenthaler, has joined the agency.

screen-shot-2016-09-28-at-2-10-31-pmRichard Funess, senior managing partner, of Finn Partners, said Seigenthaler, the former NBC News anchor and public relations executive, will serve as the firm’s Senior Counsel, advising clients across the agency’s network of offices on Crisis Communications and Reputation Management emphasizing Message Development, Media Direction/Training, Video and Social Media strategy. He is based in Finn Partners headquarters, New York.

Seigenthaler spent much of his career as a journalist for NBC News. He was the anchor of NBC Nightly News Weekend Edition and Special Correspon- dent for NBC News for more than a decade. Seigenthaler appeared on Meet the Press, TODAY, Dateline, MSNBC and CNBC. He covered a wide range of major international and national stories, including: U.S. presidential campaigns and conventions, terror attacks in the Middle East, London, Paris, New York, and natural disasters worldwide.

Seigenthaler’s work in public relations began in 2007, when he joined Seigenthaler Public Relations, the Nashville-based agency founded by his uncle, Tom Seigenthaler, which was acquired by Finn Partners in 2015. John led SPR’s New York City office until 2013, focused on health care, financial services, environment, technology, academics, and public policy.

Recently, he served as the Primetime News Anchor for cable news channel Aljazeera America. Early in his career, Seigenthaler worked as an anchor and reporter at Nashville’s WKRN TV, WSMV TV and Seattle’s KOMO TV.
