Nashville-based public relations and government affairs firm Hall Strategies has announced the hiring of Sara Pruneski as account supervisor. Pruneski joins Hall Strategies by way of Washington, D.C.-based strategic communications and government affairs firm the Glover Park Group (GPG).
Spending the last eight years with the Glover Park Group, most recently as director, Pruneski has obtained public relations and public affairs experience at the highest levels. At GPG, she developed and executed advocacy and thought leadership campaigns for multinational companies, non-profits, and global foundations. Her project and programmatic work experience is comprehensive, from formulating communications outreach and engagement plans to conducting traditional and digital research. She’s managed strategic media relations and influencer campaigns and counseled clients on a range of public policy and crisis communications issues.
Before joining the Glover Park Group, Pruneski interned at the Susan Magrino Agency in New York focusing on media relations. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Skidmore College with a bachelor of arts in History.
At Hall Strategies, Pruneski will support Hall Strategies programmatic public relations, issue-campaign and public awareness work.
Former Montgomery Bell Academy star athlete, Carter Henderson, has been named the new Harding Academy Golf coach.
Henderson was 1st Team All-Mid- state in Golf, has won the James Fyke Municipal Amateur Golf Tournament twice and has qualified for, and played in the US Amateur on 2 separate occasions.
He signed a golf scholarship with MTSU before transferring and signing with The University of Virginia where he was a 2 time Letterman.
He also was on 2 state basketball championship teams while at MBA, leading his team in scoring in the champion ship game in 2001, his senior year.

TriStar Centennial Medical Center has announced the appointment of its Chief Operating Officer. Justin Coury, MHA, has assumed the role overseeing operations starting back on September 1, 2017.
Coury comes to TriStar Centennial with six years of administrative leadership within HCA Health- care hospitals, most recently serving as the Chief Operating Officer and Ethics and Compliance Officer for Medical City Denton in Denton, Texas. There, he was responsible for expanding surgical care services with the acquisition of the da Vinci Xi robotic surgical system, and the completion of a $5.5 million Emergency Department renovation.
Prior to leading operations at Medical City Denton, Coury served as Associate Chief Operating Officer at Medical City Plano in Plano, Texas, and increasingly moved into numerous leadership positions at Medical City Dallas and Medical City Children’s Hospital in Dallas, Texas.
Coury earned his undergraduate degree in marketing from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University and a Master of Health Administration degree from Virginia Common-wealth University. He is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
Coury replaces Brian Marger who recently transitioned to his new role as Chief Executive Officer for TriStar Summit Medical Center in Hermitage, Tennessee.

Rudy’s Jazz Room has recently hired renowned drummer and music industry entrepreneur Nioshi Jackson as their new Entertainment Director. He will be in charge of booking performances at the venue, which offers live jazz seven nights per week.
Nioshi, professionally known as Nio, moved to Nashville in 1997 and has since then toured with internationally recognized artists Trisha Yearwood, Michael McDonald, and Ricky Skaggs. He has shared the stage with Richie Sambora, Big & Rich/ MuzikMafia, Blake Shelton, Kid Rock and has had the opportunity to open shows for Bon Jovi, John Mellencamp, Smokey Robinson, John Lee Hooker, Luke Bryan and Jason Aldean.
Even after a successful career on the road, Nioshi never abandoned his first love: jazz. He’s played or recorded with Dr. Lonnie Smith, Rod McGaha, Rahsaan Barber, Frank Morgan, Connye Florance, Dara Tucker, Jody Nardone, Kossie Gardner, Greg Bryant, Chester Thompson and a host of many others.
Nioshi focused his energies towards the music business in 2012. He stopped touring and performing to fully understand the music industry, as a whole. He had a great resource in his mentor, music mogul Doc McGhee, who is responsible for the careers of Kiss, Darius Rucker, Bon Jovi, Mötley Crüe and Guns N’ Roses. Under his tutelage, he was able to make the transition to the business world successfully.
