Barge, Waggoner, Sumner and Cannon Inc. has announced that Jimmy Wiseman, PE, has joined the firm’s Nashville office as a civil engineer.
Prior to Barge Waggoner, he was employed with SSOE Group in Nashville where he received the Group Founder’s Award. Wiseman earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of South Carolina.
The Blair School of Music has appointed Stephen Miahky as the Joseph Joachim Professor of Violin. Miahky will also assume the First Violin chair in the Blair String Quartet.
Miahky currently serves on the faculty of Bowling Green State University in Ohio, after previous faculty appointments at Ohio University and Cornell University. He has been on the faculty of the Montecito Music Festival in Santa Barbara, Calif., since 2011, and received his D.M.A. from Rutgers University in 2009.
Messer Construction Co. has announced the promotion of Tom Lampe to vice president and Nashville region leader. Lampe will lead daily operations for the company’s Nashville region office.
Lampe has more than 20 years of experience at Messer, first joining the company in 1991 as a project engineer. He has continually taken on new roles with increasing levels of responsibility throughout his tenure, most recently serving as project development vice president, where he provided leadership and strategic counsel to business development team members in each of Messer’s nine regions. Lampe earned his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Cincinnati.

Originally from Detroit, Mich., Bodin has been active with Real Estate for nearly four years and has lived in the market for over ten years. He currently is a member of the Eastern Middle Tennessee Association of Realtors, serving the market of Davidson and surrounding counties.
Tennessee Department of Transportation Commissioner John Schroer named Will Reid, P.E., as the Construction Division Director. In his new post, Reid will oversee the division which is responsible for preparing proposals and letting to contract all TDOT transportation highway and bridge projects.
Reid has nearly 15 years of experience in engineering, specializing in Project Management and is a registered professional engineer in Tenn., Miss., Ky., Ala. and Ohio. He most recently served as Transportation Group Manager and Firm-wide Transportation Discipline Lead for the engineering firm Barge, Waggoner, Sumner and Cannon.
Ralph Z. Levy Jr. has been named president of The Temple – Congregation Ohabai Sholom in Belle Meade, Temple leaders announced.
Levy is an attorney of counsel in the Nashville office of Dickinson Wright PLLC, where he focuses his practice on corporate, healthcare enterprises, and estate planning law. He holds a post graduate master’s in law in taxation from New York University, and received his jurisprudence degree from Vanderbilt University School of Law.
Other newly elected officers of The Temple are: Vice President and Treasurer Martin Sir of Nashville and Secretary Joyce Bauman Friedman of Franklin. Sir is an attorney in the law offices of Martin Sir and Associates. Friedman is an affiliate real estate broker and sales associate specializing in the sale of new home construction for Fox Ridge Homes and Ryan Homes.
