Tennessee Health Commis- sioner John Dreyzehner, officially suspended admissions of new residents to Green Hills Health and Rehabilitation.
The 150-bed nursing home located at 3939 Hillsboro Circle, was ordered not to admit any new residents based on conditions found during a complaint survey started on October 23. The investigation was completed December 1. During the inspection, surveyors saw significant need for better performance improvements, physician services and records and reports filing.
Admissions to a nursing home gets suspended when conditions in the home are recorded to be determined, or likely to be detrimental. to the welfare of residents.
Green Hills Health and Rehab is now required to make improvements of conditions and post the suspension order at a public entrance to the facility where it can be plainly seen.
The nursing home has the right to a hearing regarding the suspension of admissions before the Board for Licensing Health Care Facilities or an administrative judge.
In addition, the state has imposed a $5,000 penalty.
