How could a store opening feel similar to a very happy family reunion? This is what happened this week when Aldi cut the ribbon for their newest Tennessee location in Bellevue.
Customers started a line at 7:00 AM in the morning, two hours before the opening, enticed by the possibility of being one of the first 100 to enter and receive a gift certificate for his/her purchases. Everyone in the line was cheerful, often introducing themselves to the each other. Stories proliferated about how most had been Aldi shoppers since 1976when the first store was opened here.
The Aldi store is ½ block from Krogers Bellevue.
This Company recognizes that they can’t keep their prices down if they offer a pharmacy, a fresh deli, or bakery, so they want to give their customers the convenience of nearby shopping.
